Announcing the N-Strike Spectre REV-5!

Some of you out there may have already seen this blaster as well, but now it’s official! The good people at Nerf have just released this image and some information to several Nerf Fan Sites out there, so finally we can introduce it to you out there who haven’t already seen it. This blaster will be available in October of this year exclusively at Wal-Mart Stores! The Spectre REV-5 combines features of the N-Strike Maverick REV-6 and N-Strike Recon CS-6 blasters in one tacticool package. Its a 5-Dart capacity blaster that comes with a folding shoulder stock and a “silencer” barrel attachment (why a blaster that comes with sonic darts has a silencer is beyond me though).

We at AFoN are extremely excited to have another new blaster to look forward to this year in addition to the blaster to come out on 9-9-10.  Though we have to wait a little longer for this one than the others, we’re excited for the new stock and barrel attachment.

  1. I don’t think the Spectre is going to be the most effective gun on the “field of battle,” but I’m psyched for the folding stock and the “silencer” just because they look cool. I’ll definitely enjoy attaching the silencer and walking up behind my roommate and saying something like, “Enrique says hello” *doink*

  2. The gun looks cool but the recon and deploy are way way better because there clip guns and could take bigger clips and could out gun that gun like really I’m not buying it i have a maverick and its more compact and is much more power full

  3. This looks pretty good, I must say. A few speculations I’ve picked up from other sources:
The Turret (Revolver Barrel) looks too far in to be able to insert darts normally like the Maverick, meaning either A) A button like the Maverick had that moves the Turret out, or preferably B) Swappable Turrets, making this an epic gun indoors.
Although I’m skeptical of the use of the Silencer, from those holes on the top it looks like it will let air out. Can be fixed with glue/epoxy though. Also, After testing with the Recon (Recently removed my Air Restrictor to improve range), I noticed more drop when using the Barrel addition.
If they do include swappable turrets, I’ll get this without thought. If they don’t, it looks more like an ugly Maverick.
