Greetings Nerf Nation! Deliberations are completed and after hours and hours of discussions we have finally found the winners of our Anniversary Giveaway. We were quite impressed with the inspiring and well thought out entries you all sent in. There were a few ideas that followed common themes which in all honestly we kinda expected, and it’s nice to know that so many of you share similar views as to the direction you would like to see Nerf go. It took a while but two bright shiny entries floated to the top, here they are in no particular order:
The Elite Mega Pilum submitted by James Zhu- The concept for this single shot pump action Mega Dart launcher is simple and elegant in execution. As seen in the picture below, “It has a trigger set very far back on the blaster and rear Nerf stock attachment point and comes with a faux wooden stock.” But that’s only where the fun begins; the top tactical rail attachment is described as being inverted similar to the rail on the Titan that the Scout slides into. “This allows instant integration of Pilum onto any tactical rail equipped blaster once its stock is removed.” The Pilum took a popular discussion piece and gave us a practical application for a dual purpose blaster.
The Elite Mega Executioner submitted by Matthew Corrigan – One common thread between the entries was removable dart cylinders. The concept for the Executioner goes one step further and truly makes that mechanic the focal point of the blaster. “The barrel has a break in the end of the cylinder to have it pulled out. The break release button is located or the left side of the blaster.” The cylinder holds 5 Mega Darts and can be slit out when empty after the break so you can reload with ease.
Congratulations Matthew and James!! You should be receiving your Elite Pinpoint Sights (one for each of you) in good time! We want to thank all of you for participating in our Giveaway. We hope you had fun making your entries.
