Introducing the Nerf Zombie Strike Doublestrike!!

News of this little guy surfaced yesterday on other sites, so we are a little slow on the draw, but here’s our first look at the Nerf Zombie Strike Doublestrike.download_20140204_120042

At first glance this blaster looks like a pretty typical two shot derringer pistol.  the Doublestrike’s unique feature is its hammer priming mechanism like that on the Hammer Shot.  It appears as though the Doublestrike will fire one dart at a time each of its two barrels, hinting at a dart sensing mechanism similar to the Elite Roughcut/Triad.  Size wise it appears to be somewhere between the N-Strike Scout/Zombie Strike Side Strike and the Elite Triad.  From the pic and description, we here at AFoN are excited for this addition to the Zombie Strike line.  Being able to truly dual wield blasters now, prime and fire one handed is proving to be a fantastic development in Nerf’s ever growing arsenal of awesome.

  1. I’m really happy with the hammer prime system in the hammershot. Might have been rough for kids with smaller hands but I liked it a lot more than the slide prime of the old school maverick. I have a jolt and triad that are in the midst of repaint projects, but the bottom pull prime kind of neutralizes the concealment as the handle stays out while primed. Kinda hard to do a “Jim West” derringer deployment (Robert Conrad FTW) with that tail sticking out. This will solve that problem for me. I’ll definitely score at least one (two depending on price if it’s near the triad in cost) as soon as I see them here.
